About Dr. Lindsay Chambers
PT, DPT, AIB-VR, PCES
Dr. Lindsay Chambers is an active mom of 4, a physical therapist and a lifelong learner!
With a unique and diverse undergraduate background in both biology and fine arts, Dr. Chambers has developed a thorough and keen eye that allows her to identify and decipher nuances in posture and movement. This acuity lends to quickly identifying abnormal and dysfunctional patterns and targeting the root of her patients' problems–wasting less time and getting patients better, faster!
Dr. Chambers went on to earn her doctoral degree from Drexel University in 2012 where she had the advantage of working at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania's Penn Therapy and Fitness as well as NYU's Hospital for Joint Disease.
With over a decade long background in treating orthopedics, Dr. Chambers has had the privilege of working with many populations of patients–from athletes, pregnant/postpartum mothers, pediatrics, geriatrics, to managing a concussion clinic.
Dr. Chambers prides herself on taking a whole-body, holistic approach to her physical therapy evaluation and assessment–being mindful of all aspects of her patient's emotional, physical and mental health to facilitate the best outcomes. She has spent years in women's health and treating the female athlete in an outpatient setting. After having children of her own, Dr. Chambers' passion for helping moms move and feel their best both during pregnancy and in the challenging postpartum period, truly bloomed. She has taken numerous pelvic health courses from the distinguished Herman and Wallace Institute for Pelvic Rehabilitation, the Pelvic Guru and has earned her certification as a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES). Dr. Chambers is passionate about helping women to not settle in their fitness journey. Her focus is to encourage the restoration of optimal health and movement, to help her patients achieve their goals and return them to the activities they love.
After having her first baby in 2016, Dr. Chambers' interest in the infant population was also reignited, as she walked through a season with her own child in physical therapy for torticollis and tethered oral tissues (TOTs). Subsequently, her next three babies also had lip, tongue, and cheek ties which required frenectomies for correction and to facilitate a long and healthy breastfeeding journey, which was a goal and delight for her as a mother. In recent years, Dr. Chambers has taken a plethora of course work and continuing education classes to also specialize in treating infants with TOTs. This has been a joy and honor to step in alongside the mothers she had been treating during their pregnancies/postpartum fitness journeys and to now also find a niche in helping their newborns thrive.
Dr. Chambers has certifications and expertise in the areas of running assessments with the POSE method, IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization), ART (active release technique), Kinesiotaping, integration of pilates and yoga principles with a level 1 Yogafit certification, and a certification in vestibular rehabilitation through the American Institute of Balance.
